Job summary

Roblox seeks a Data Center Network Engineer to design, deploy and operate a large-scale data center network, including GPU clusters for AI workloads. You will drive cross-team coordination and validate new technologies for scalable, reliable infrastructure.

Role offers equity compensation and a path to impact at scale, with onsite presence at our San Mateo headquarters in California. Strong skills in BGP, TCP/IP, and high-speed fabrics are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of designing and deploying large-scale data center fabrics (CLOS).
• Experience with GPU clusters or AI/ML networking.
• Proficiency deploying and managing 400G and 800G hardware.
• Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting large-scale BGP deployments.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS), with IPv4/IPv6 hands-on experience.
• Preferred: QoS, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, DWDM, NAT, open-source hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, deployment, and operations of Roblox's large-scale data center network, including GPU cluster networking for training and inference.
• Design, qualify, and validate new technologies and hardware for scalable solutions.
• Coordinate data center builds and projects across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with Network Reliability, Data Center Ops, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain, and Compute/ML teams to address network challenges early.
• Contribute to automation and telemetry to improve efficiency and visibility.
