Job summary
ePlus seeks a senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise and data center networks in a Bay Area context. You will support Cisco and Juniper routing/switching, configure BGP/OSPF/MPLS/VXLAN, and work within spine-leaf data center architectures. VMware networking and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.
The role offers base salary guidance with annual compensation potential driven by performance; travel to customer/data center locations is expected.
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Cisco Enterprise Routing & Switching.
- Experience with Juniper networking platforms.
- Deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS and VXLAN.
- Layer 2/Layer 3 routing and switching.
- Experience with NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand networking.
- Strong understanding of data center and large-scale architectures.
- Working knowledge of VMware networking and virtualization environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise and data center networks.
- Support Cisco and Juniper routing and switching environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, and L2/L3 networking.
- Work with spine-leaf data center architectures and VXLAN environments.
- Perform network configuration, migration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, routing, and switching issues.
- Collaborate with server, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure teams.
- Provide hands-on support during data center deployments and network implementations.
- Assist with physical networking activities, including cabling and hardware installation/validation.
- Support VMware networking and integration with enterprise infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and configuration standards.
