W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead field MEP activities for mission-critical data center projects across the Southeast U.S.

The role requires coordinating preconstruction, construction, and closeout tasks, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on complex systems. Candidates should have 7+ years in field MEP management on large commercial projects, with 3+ years on data centers, and strong proficiency in major systems and construction

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing field MEP work on large-scale commercial projects, including at least 3 years on mission-critical or data center projects.
• Proven ability to manage full project lifecycle from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
• Familiarity with Southeast U.S. construction markets, labor forces, and local codes.
• Expertise in major building systems, including high-voltage electrical, chilled water, fuel oil, BMS, fire alarm, and air-handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Phase: review MEP design documents for constructability and value engineering; assist in trade partner selection and baseline schedules.
• Construction Phase: direct and coordinate all on-site MEP activities; lead coordination meetings; enforce safety and quality; resolve field conflicts.
• Closeout & Commissioning Phase: oversee start-up, testing, commissioning, and turnover of as-builts, O&M manuals, and training materials.
