Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Facilities Operations Technician V – Mechanical to lead reliability and lifecycle performance of mission-critical mechanical and HVAC systems in hyperscale data centers. The role requires solving complex issues, guiding upgrades, and protecting uptime across facilities.

Located onsite in Saline, Michigan, the position emphasizes lead troubleshooting, standards development, and collaboration across procurement, facilities, and engineering to optimize total cost of ownership

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years experience with mission-critical mechanical systems in data centers or high-availability facilities.
• Strong understanding of cooling system design, controls integration, redundancy, lifecycle performance.
• Ability to lead complex technical work and support critical operational decisions.
• Advanced trade qualification or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define, review, and improve mechanical/HVAC architectures for high-availability environments.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain standards for cooling redundancy and performance.
• Partner on capacity planning, retrofits, and initiatives including liquid cooling and efficiency projects.
• Lead or support vendor reviews, commissioning criteria, and handover requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, facilities, engineering, and construction to improve total cost of ownership.
