Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Industrialization Engineer to lead manufacturing and industrialization for New Product Introductions from prototype to high-volume production.

You will translate design intent into scalable manufacturing workflows, advise on design for manufacturability, and partner with internal teams and external suppliers to meet volume output based on business needs. Travel to data centers and CM sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
• 6+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale contract manufacturer (CM) relationships.
• Experience defining manufacturing procedures, standards, or process packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document the detailed manufacturing process, workstation definition, work content, line balancing, and takt time, translating strategy into executable production plans.
• Build capacity models and scaling approaches for each product, planning ramp from low-volume to serialized production across sites.
• Stand up production lines at contract manufacturers and lead ramp-up until OEE targets are met.
• Specify and validate tooling, fixturing, and automation/robotics for volume and product.
• Use simulation and process flow analysis to identify bottlenecks and drive yield improvements and cost reductions.
• Partner with CM engineering teams to qualify processes against defined standards and ensure repeatable output across lines and sites.
• Flag manufacturability risks with the product design team and feed line-level constraints back into design.
• Lead the resolution of production issues on the floor and restore stability.
