Job summary

DVL Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned HVAC/R Technical Specialist to advance critical infrastructure data center cooling projects. You will apply deep HVAC know-how to service Liebert/Vertiv systems, supervise technicians, and collaborate with sales engineers to meet client needs.

Facilities experience with commercial/industrial cooling, preventative maintenance, and problem-solving are essential. This role includes on-call duties, travel to customer sites, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HVAC Certificate from a college or trade school.
• Universal EPA Certification required.
• 5+ years of full-time commercial/industrial HVAC/R experience; Liebert iCom a plus.
• Experience handling refrigerant and making repairs.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and refrigeration systems.
• OSHA 10 preferred; valid driver’s license.
• Willingness for frequent on-call and overtime duties in surrounding area.
• Proficient in Outlook, MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate and service split systems, DX systems, glycol, and controls.
• Apply knowledge of thermal dynamics and heat transfer in commercial buildings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Liebert/Vertiv equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace failed components; supervise technicians as needed.
• Solder/braze refrigerant and water lines as required.
• Communicate job details to dispatcher; track equipment IDs, time, parts, and labor.
• Read schematics and control circuits to guide work.
• Assist Senior Technical Advisor on startups and commissioning projects.
• Interface with customers professionally to present Liebert/Vertiv and DVL positively.
• Lead or direct installing contractors when needed.
• Train Thermal Technicians and Assistants as required.
• Handle refrigerants and related tools safely and in compliance with safety guidelines.
