AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Data Center and Mission Critical team, with remote work options across the U.S. This role emphasizes heat rejection, HVAC system design, CFD analysis, redundancy, and energy efficiency in mission-critical environments.

Ideal candidates hold a P.E. license, have 8+ years in data center mechanical/electrical systems, and can travel occasionally for client meetings while working primarily remotely from US locations including Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment installation and operation.
• P. E. registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Data Center Heat Rejection and HVAC System Design for data centers.
• Cooling System Selection for data centers (air/water side systems).
• CFD Analysis to optimize airflow and identify hotspots.
• Redundancy and Fault Tolerance in HVAC systems.
• Heat Load Calculation and Capacity Planning for IT equipment and facilities.
• Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in HVAC design.
