Job summary

OptiCool Technologies is seeking a field-based technician to support Delta4T cooling systems in critical data center environments across the U.S. and international locations.

This role requires 40–65% travel, rotation on a 24/7 on-call schedule, and hands-on installation, commissioning, and break/fix execution. You will diagnose HVAC/R equipment, perform refrigerant procedures, conduct preventive maintenance, and provide clear service documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years field service experience in HVAC/R or mission-critical cooling.
• EPA Section 608 Universal certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Experience in data centers, telecom, fabs, labs, or hospitals with safety discipline.
• Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and installation drawings; report measurements clearly.
• Strong communication and on-site documentation skills; valid driver's license; passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation support, commissioning, verification, and turnover for OptiCool systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, controls, and refrigerant issues in critical environments.
• Respond to emergency/break-fix calls and restore systems per change management and service standards.
• Evacuate, dehydrate, test for leaks, recharge, and maintain refrigerant practices with proper documentation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits and document results; propose corrective actions.
• Provide remote triage, monitoring support, and 24/7 escalation as needed.
• Deliver training to customers and partners; mentor junior technicians.
