Job summary

Meta is seeking a data center lead building engineer to join our facility operations team. The Lead Building Engineer will oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical data center systems across multiple buildings, totaling 70+ MW capacity, reporting to a Critical Operations Manager in our Minnesota facility.

The role requires 8+ years in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or related fields, strong CMMS skills, and the ability to supervise vendors and ensure safety, compliance, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or maintenance fields.
• Proficient with maintenance management programs.
• Comfort with computer systems (documents, spreadsheets, email).
• Ability to walk job sites on varied terrain.
• Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
• Ability to lift 45 pounds or more.
• Sits/stands for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations for 30MW+ data centers and maintain schedule deconfliction.
• Schedule and supervise vendors during maintenance.
• Perform hands-on operations and maintenance with safety compliance.
• Review procedures and approve select ones.
• Support incident management and RCA closure.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data center infrastructure.
