Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver essential engineering work within Fluor- ATLS. The role leads on projects, applying standard engineering techniques to complex problems and coordinating with multiple disciplines.

The incumbent will develop specifications, perform calculations, and review equipment documentation while adhering to project objectives. Strong communication and field experience are required for success.

Qualifications

Accredited four-year degree in engineering and ten years of work-related experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and visitors.
Knowledge of discipline codes and standards, NEC familiarity is a plus.
Professional registration and membership in technical society preferred.
Practical field experience and knowledge of electrical design deliverables.

Responsibilities

Apply cost-competitive execution techniques to develop cost-effective overall project solutions.
Develop and review specifications and design criteria.
Coordinate with procurement, permitting and subcontracting activities.
Perform calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex problems.
Review vendor documents for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
Lead and mentor project teams and manage scope and schedules.
