Job summary

STACK Infrastructure’s Hillsboro, OR, data center role seeks a Critical Operations Technician to maintain mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems, ensuring reliable operation and supporting ongoing preventive maintenance programs.

The position emphasizes safety, strong problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced data center environment. On-call duties may be required, with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in a data center or mission-critical operations role.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, PDUs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC).

Responsibilities

• Implement and follow a culture of safety across STACK data centers.
• Operate, monitor, maintain and respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems.
• Track and trend operational characteristics to improve efficiency.
• Provide feedback to management on standards and processes.
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance schedules with the team.
• Oversee data center assets, inventory, and labelling per procedures.
