Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to design, develop, and optimize control systems for data center cooling infrastructure, including GPU clusters and liquid cooling.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
7+ years in controls engineering with at least 4 years in data center/mission-critical facilities.
Expert-level PLC and DDC programming across major platforms.
Knowledge of chiller plant optimization, psychrometrics, and hydronic systems.

Responsibilities

Architect and develop control sequences for chiller plants, CDUs, CRAHs, and liquid cooling loops.
Design control strategies to optimize energy efficiency and maintain precise environmental setpoints.
Lead integration with BMS/DCIM platforms and oversee commissioning activities (FAT/SAT).
Mentor junior engineers on controls best practices, programming standards, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, PMs, and customers to translate thermal requirements into robust control solutions.
