Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Data Center Construction Manager to lead field execution for hyperscale AI data center projects in Shackelford, Texas. The role requires strong onsite engagement, coordinating contractors, tracking progress, and ensuring safety and quality throughout construction and turnover for commissioning.

The position is based in Shackelford, TX with relocation support as needed. Candidates should be local or willing to relocate to Abilene area, with limited to no remote work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting construction execution on large-scale projects.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules and turnover docs.
• Strong safety, quality, punch-list and turnover readiness knowledge.
• Excellent communication with concise on-site updates.
• Must be onsite with 85–95% field engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction execution for assigned buildings, systems, areas, or trade scopes.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, foremen, superintendents, and trade partners.
• Monitor field progress, manpower, productivity, sequencing, and workface readiness.
• Ensure activities align with schedules, milestones, and turnover priorities.
• Identify and help resolve field risks and execution constraints.
• Reinforce onsite safety expectations through visible field presence.
• Support quality verification and turnover readiness for commissioning and startup.
• Provide accurate daily field reports and milestone updates.
• Support recovery plans for schedule, quality, or coordination issues.
• Promote consistent field execution practices across teams.
