Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking an experienced data analytics professional to design, build, and optimize Power BI reports and data solutions across the Members Division. You will collaborate with product lines and IT partners to deliver actionable insights and robust reporting.

The role requires 7+ years in data analytics or related fields, with preference for financial services experience. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, data analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in data analytics, data management, or data reporting; 3+ years in financial services or regulated industry preferred.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities under ambiguity.
• Deep understanding of data integration, data quality and data administration/management functions.
• Extensive experience with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
• Extensive experience with SQL and complex queries; proficiency in statistical programming/scripting.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and datasets aligned with requirements.
• Foster relationships with product line groups and stakeholders to identify data and reporting needs.
• Represent Members Division on bank-wide projects affecting data and reporting.
• Coordinate with IT partners to manage Qlik apps and other reporting tools.
• Create robust sales enablement data reporting with product line teams.
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and optimized reporting.
• Use Power Query to extract, transform, and prepare data from enterprise sources.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects.
• Perform UAT testing and data validation procedures.
• Troubleshoot reporting and data-related issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, usability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support business users with report functionality and data questions.
• Provide training and support to ensure effective data access.
• Create on-demand reports and assist with data extraction.
• Help manage regulatory reporting as needed.
• Coordinate with Member Strategies to manage EUC tools inventory.
• Manage external vendor relationships supporting data/reporting needs.
