Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a senior data engineer to design and implement automated data engineering solutions for government missions. You will develop reusable ETL/ELT templates in Python and SQL on Databricks or Snowflake, and embed robust data quality testing within pipelines.

You will help advance IaC-driven data infrastructure with Terraform and drive CI/CD for DataOps across cloud environments while mentoring peers and researching new technologies to continuously improve data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Expert-level programming in Python and advanced SQL.
• Proven experience building data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS/Azure) on Databricks or Snowflake.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Demonstrated CI/CD experience applied to data workflows (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Deep understanding of modern data architecture, modeling, and software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert on design and implementation of automated data engineering solutions.
• Develop and maintain a library of standardized ETL/ELT templates using Python, SQL, and Databricks or Snowflake.
• Engineer automated data quality and testing frameworks embedded in pipelines (e.g., Great Expectations).
• Contribute to IaC modules (Terraform) for automated data infrastructure provisioning.
• Enhance and optimize CI/CD for Data (DataOps) pipelines for reliable deployment.
• Serve as escalation point for complex data engineering challenges and mentor others.
