Job summary

Wal-Mart is seeking a Senior Data Assurance Engineer to join our Herndon team on site. You will identify and implement DLP solutions, develop incident-management tooling, and help evolve data assurance roadmaps across platforms.

You will collaborate with architects and security teams, write code in Python/JavaScript, and contribute to playbooks and documentation. Strong knowledge of NIST/PCI/HIPAA/GDPR is expected. This role focuses on securing data across retail platforms.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field plus 1 year of data assurance experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of data assurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement data loss prevention (DLP) solutions; develop and test code and scripts for incident management.
• Coordinate DLP changes with customers and teams; validate changes and ensure testing.
• Develop technology roadmaps for Data Assurance and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead team tasks, prepare documentation, and deliver presentations to management and customers.
• Develop and test code using Python/JavaScript; deploy to production; maintain playbooks.
