Job summary

UNFCU is seeking a Data Architect to establish and advance our data strategy and architecture within the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence. You will collaborate across data management teams and business units to design scalable data warehouse and data lake solutions, ETL processes, and governance artifacts.

A hybrid work model is provided, with compensation aligned to New York expectations. You will lead development of data objects, marts, and pipelines, while ensuring adherence to data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 3 years of Data Architect experience.
• 5 years in Datawarehousing.
• 5 years in data engineering with MS SQL, Fabric, Snowflake or equivalent.
• Experience in ETL development using MS SQL Server and Oracle DBMS.
• Proficiency in SQL and query performance tuning.
• Experience creating reports in Tableau/Power BI/Qlik.

Responsibilities

• Establish and build out data strategy and architecture for data warehouse and data lake solutions.
• Collaborate with data management teams and business units on enterprise data requirements.
• Partner with BI/analytics, product managers, and leadership to deliver data solutions and promote data policies.
• Ensure data platforms meet IT standards and design requirements.
• Expand data dictionaries, architecture docs, standards, and development frameworks.
• Develop data objects and ETL components within data warehousing and data lake ecosystems.
• Provide architecture support to business units for active projects and initiatives.
• Troubleshoot data platform, pipeline, and architecture issues; ensure scalable solutions.
• Stay informed of industry trends and participate in relevant training and conferences.
