Job summary

HappyGlobal Service seeks a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in data warehouse design, data modeling, and scalable data pipelines. The role spans governance, platform reliability, and collaboration with global engineering teams to meet diverse data needs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Iceberg, Flink, and programming in Java/Scala/Python, plus a strong emphasis on data privacy compliance (CCPA & GDPR). This is a high-impact, US-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in data warehouse modeling and development.
• Experience with batch and real-time data processing.
• Experience building or supporting large-scale data processing systems.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Iceberg, Flink, or similar frameworks.
• Software development experience with Java, Scala, and/or Python.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with applicable data privacy requirements, including CCPA and GDPR.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data warehouse systems, including layered data modeling, data pipelines, and data governance.
• Build reliable and scalable data infrastructure to support data accuracy, consistency, and operational stability.
• Translate business requirements into effective data models and data engineering solutions.
• Design and optimize data processing workflows for a variety of internal use cases.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams on system deployment, maintenance, and data-related initiatives.
• Support applicable data privacy and compliance requirements, including CCPA and GDPR.
• Contribute to improvements in data architecture, engineering standards, and platform reliability.
