Job summary

Simform is seeking a Tech Lead / Junior Data Architect to build modern data platforms on Microsoft Fabric and Azure for global clients. The role blends architecture with hands-on delivery, including data governance, security, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor a team, participate in discovery workshops, and help grow the Data Architect track across accounts. Remote options available for international teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years data engineering/analytics experience including hands-on work with Microsoft Fabric in production
• Strong Azure data stack experience: Data Factory/Synapse, ADLS Gen2, SQL, Key Vault
• Advanced SQL and Python/PySpark for large-scale transformations
• Dimensional modeling with star schemas and SCDs
• Power BI semantic modeling and deployment pipelines
• Data governance exposure: Purview/Collibra
• Demonstrated technical leadership and delivery ownership
• Clear written and spoken English; client-facing design discussions

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end lakehouse/medallion architectures on Microsoft Fabric and Azure
• Own technical decisions on storage, ingestion, orchestration, and cost/performance trade-offs
• Lead a team of 3–6 data engineers and BI developers
• Translate client requirements into architecture and estimates; participate in discovery and presales
• Implement data governance and security including Purview and RBAC
• Set up CI/CD and deployment pipelines using Fabric and Azure DevOps
• Establish and enforce engineering standards and reusable frameworks
• Mentor engineers and contribute to capability building and accelerators
