Job summary

The Federal Reserve Board is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead and shape the enterprise data architecture, metadata, and data governance across the division. You will design data platforms, develop roadmaps, and mentor teams to ensure robust data delivery for policy research and analytics.

You will collaborate with data engineers and researchers to modernize data pipelines, optimize storage and processing, and implement best practices in DevOps and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience in data engineering and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end data architectures and governance.
• Experience with ETL/ELT workflows and data integration pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DataOps platforms.

Responsibilities

• Document the division's current data architecture and maintain an accurate view of the division's data ecosystem.
• Develop future state data architecture standards, guidelines, and principles.
• Create data lifecycle management roadmaps and migrate workflows between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with research and business teams to improve data models for analytics and visualization tools.
• Design, develop, and automate ETL/ELT workflows and data integration pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership on database design and enterprise data platform solutions.
