Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Senior Data Architect to own the enterprise data model, governance, and architecture for analytics and reporting across clients. You’ll lead data maturity assessments, build scalable data solutions in Python/SQL, and ensure asset discoverability and trustworthy data across teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, stakeholder collaboration, and leadership in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting DoD clients. TS clearance is a plus and not required at hire.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering, including ownership of enterprise or program-level data models
• Experience with SQL, including data modeling, such as dimensional modeling, normalization, or schema design, query optimization, and working with relational databases and cloud data platforms
• Experience with Python data frameworks for data processing, transformation, and automation
• Experience in establishing and enforcing data governance practices, data quality frameworks, metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and access policies
• Experience with project management, including planning and delivering schedule-bound technical engagements or assessments against a statement of work or charter
• Ability to use critical thinking and solution-design to model unfamiliar customer data environments and deliver practical architecture roadmaps
• Bachelor's degree and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise data model, ensuring production data assets are modeled, documented, and governed
• Design and enforce data governance standards including naming conventions and access policies
• Define and maintain the data catalog so teams know what data exists and how to use it
• Lead data quality monitoring and remediation within service levels
• Lead client data maturity assessments end to end, including evaluating data systems and delivering actionable roadmaps
• Communicate architecture findings to clients and coordinate with teams to execute
• Support cross-functional squads by validating data model decisions and governance compliance
• Design and build data solutions using Python and SQL
