Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Governance Engineer, Lead, to drive modernization of mission data governance. You will shape data flow schemas, tagging, and governance policies for national security missions.

In this role you will partner with customers and stakeholders across multiple teams to design, govern, and implement data schemas, tagging, and interoperability standards. A TS/SCI with polygraph is required and extensive federal contracting experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of federal government contracting experience.
• Experience with data flow, Apache NiFi, or mission systems.
• Experience defining and applying data tagging and handling requirements.
• Experience analyzing and defining data schemas and data processing requirements.
• Experience developing capability level and functional requirements, mission scenarios, use cases, or business processes for automation.
• Knowledge of data governance concepts, such as data provenance, classification, sizing, retention, data sharing, and marking.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT Engineering field and 15+ years of experience with systems engineering, or 20+ years of experience with systems engineering in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization efforts for the client's enterprise data flow team.
• Provide Tier 1 operations support for customer data flow requests.
• Define data handling and usage requirements for new data flows.
• Define and harden data schemas and metadata tagging for interoperability.
• Coordinate with data flow service providers and define processes and business rules.
• Plan and implement dataflows supporting critical cyber missions.
