Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Data Architect focusing on audit readiness. You will own inventories, catalogs, and access controls for data used in audit, ensuring traceability and testability from day one.

This role blends hands-on ETL work with architecture and governance within a globally used crypto platform. You will build ETL pipelines and dashboards, shaping data architecture that enables internal Audit to perform data-driven testing and reviews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data analytics or data engineering experience.
• Experience in regulated environments and SOX compliance.
• Hands-on data pipelines with dbt and Airflow.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience documenting metadata, KPI definitions, data dictionaries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on governance and stewardship for audit-related datasets and systems.
• Improve upstream schema and logic changes affecting downstream audit processes.
• Support analysis and impact assessment during change management for audit visibility.
• Develop reusable audit-ready dataset patterns with automated validation and data quality checks.
• Review datasets in scope for Audit and propose reengineering opportunities.
