Job summary

Mega Cloud Lab in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data strategy and platform architecture for a major state initiative. You will define cloud and database frameworks, governance, security controls, and drive data governance across complex systems.

Role requires 7+ years of hands-on data architecture, strong data modeling, and experience with Azure/Snowflake/BI tooling. On-site, 7-month initial contract with renewal options.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise data architecture experience.
• Strong data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and governance capabilities.
• Experience with Azure SQL, Snowflake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term data architecture goals, roadmaps, and disaster recovery plans.
• Establish data governance, metadata management, and quality metrics.
• Design and optimize cloud data platforms using Azure, Snowflake, and related tools.
• Produce architecture artifacts (SADs, ADRs, ERDs, STTM matrices).
• Implement RBAC, data security controls, and IaC (Bicep/Terraform).
• Collaborate with developers, PMs, and executives to enable enterprise integrations.
