Job summary

HCLTech in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Data Architect with AI expertise to lead Databricks-driven data modernization initiatives and governance across client engagements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platform design.
• Hands-on expertise in Databricks, Spark/PySpark, SQL, Python, PyTorch, and cloud data platforms.
• Experience in data modernization, governance, performance optimization, and enterprise architecture for client-facing delivery.
• Experience enabling AI-driven development, ML workflows, and production implementations with security guardrails.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design modern lakehouse architectures on Databricks using Delta Lake and scalable data models.
• Lead technology consulting engagements and data modernization initiatives across programs.
• Build and govern batch and streaming data pipelines with Auto Loader, Structured Streaming, and Delta Live Tables.
• Establish governance, security, lineage, and data quality controls with Unity Catalog.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and translate technical strategy into business value.
• Own service delivery across client engagements from design to rollout.
• Drive AI-led development for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform with model-ready data foundations.
• Lead production-grade AI implementations using Python and PyTorch for scalable performance.
• Define security guardrails and evaluation frameworks for production-ready AI development.
