Job summary

Athletics - Baseball Operations in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise data architecture. This role focuses on turning raw data from vendors, MLB, and internal reports into actionable models and insights, supporting scalable medallion architecture and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
Strong experience in data architecture and data engineering.
Fluency with SQL and Python in ETL/ELT context.
Leadership experience or team lead capacity.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure/AWS/Google).
Understanding of data lake architectures.

Responsibilities

Design, lead development of, and maintain enterprise data architecture (warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, and operational platforms).
Design, lead development of, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for baseball data.
Mentor and develop team members, set priorities, ensure alignment with goals.
Stay current with cloud, AI, and data management technologies and guide major decisions.
Collaborate with R&D to optimize storage, cleaning, querying, and delivery of datasets.
