Job summary

Choice Financial Group is seeking a Lead Data Architect to own enterprise data architecture, standards, and design patterns across the organization. You will lead architecture for the Azure Data Platform and Databricks, implement data governance and security controls, mentor Data Engineers, and drive modernization, AI readiness, and scalable data solutions for reporting and regulatory needs.

Travel may be required to support collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture with 5+ years in enterprise cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Services, Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and ETL/ELT.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data architecture, standards, and design patterns.
• Lead architecture and solution design for Azure Data Platform and Databricks.
• Implement data governance, security, data quality, integration, and performance standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Engineers.
• Drive platform modernization, AI readiness, scalability, resiliency, and cost optimization.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data platform solutions adhere to regulatory, security, architecture, and governance requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve data platform capabilities.
