Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Principal Consultant, Data Architect to own end-to-end architecture for enterprise data and AI platforms. You will set target-state architecture, standards, and reference patterns across multiple client engagements, prioritizing Snowflake and Databricks deployments while guiding solution design and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, warehousing, or solution architecture.
• Client-facing consulting or professional services with executive stakeholders.
• 5+ years Snowflake experience: topology, clustering, RBAC, cost governance.
• Experience with AI/ML data platforms and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end target-state architecture for enterprise data and AI platforms.
• Define standards, patterns, and review designs across engagements.
• Lead architecture assessments, AI readiness, and phased roadmaps.
• Provide architecture and estimates for proposals and SOWs.
• Mentor engineers and drive enablement on Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, CI/CD.
