Warner Bros. Discovery is expanding its Enterprise Data & Analytics Group with a Sr. Data Architect to design the AI Context Layer and canonical data models that power Agentic AI ecosystems across the organization.

You will build semantic layers, drive data innovation, and partner with data engineering, AI/ML, and leadership to modernize the lakehouse and enable enterprise-wide, self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Technology or similar major
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data architecture in a dedicated Enterprise or Domain Architect capacity.
• Proven track record of designing, scaling, and implementing Canonical Models and Semantic Layers that sit on top of massive Enterprise Data Lakes/Lakehouses.
• 5+ years of experience with modern cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric on AWS or Azure.
• Advanced skill in Data Modeling across Relational, Dimensional, and Data Vault 2.0 or Graph-native concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and version-control an ontology or semantic map.
• Solid understanding of FinOps—managing cloud compute/storage to optimize ROI.

Responsibilities

• Architect the AI Context Layer: define vision, requirements, and roadmap for an Enterprise Ontology and Semantic Layer for Agentic AI and GraphRAG systems.
• Build semantic abstraction layers to expose canonical data via intelligent APIs.
• Drive data innovation and ensure AI agents can reason over complex relationships without hallucinating.
• Lead design and consolidation of foundational data domains into unified Canonical Models within Silver/Gold layers.
• Modernize lakehouse patterns with streaming, event-driven pipelines, and schema-on-read ingestion.
• Operationalize AI Context Pipelines with MLOps and LLMOps for production data, features, and embeddings.
• Standardize and automate metadata management, data contracts, and semantic version control via CI/CD.
