Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead data analytics and visualization across the Data & Analytics organization.

You will design semantic layers, build end-to-end data solutions, and work with cross-functional partners to ensure correct business logic in production environments. You will create data models, develop scalable pipelines, and empower the Product Analytics team with robust insights to drive business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 5–8 years in BI or data engineering.
• Expertise in writing clean, fast SQL and data warehousing concepts (star schemas, SCDs, ELT/ETL, MPP).
• Experience transforming changing data into trustworthy datasets and developing DAGs for batch processing millions of records.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala and handling diverse data structures.
• Experience with big-data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake or similar).
• Advanced ability to build reports and dashboards with BI tools (Looker/Tableau/PowerBI).
• Git or CI/CD experience; Agile workflow familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics and visualization efforts for the Data & Analytics org.
• Manage end-to-end data solutions: pipelines, tables, and visualisations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure correct business logic in semantic layer and production environments.
• Design data models to support flexible querying and analytics.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
• Advance automation to reduce manual data manipulation and free up analysis time.
• Build reusable frameworks to multiply team productivity.
