Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Delivery Data Architect to drive the technical execution of major engagements with Fortune 1000 clients and strengthen the Data Engineering practice across our global units in the USA, Europe, and Asia.

You will oversee implementation of data platforms, lead technical directions, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions. A strong background in data governance, cloud data platforms, and AI/ML tools is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production-grade experience in data engineering, governance, and cloud data platforms.
• Proven experience as Software Architect or Staff/Principal Engineer.
• Strong cloud architectures for data collection, aggregation, reporting and BI.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale analytical programs.
• Excellent communication and leadership with clients and teams.
• Deep domain knowledge in Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Energy, or Travel; IoT/Customer 360 experience.
• Hands‑on experience in AI/ML platforms, MLOps, and LLMOps.
• Cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure (at least one, two preferred).
• Data engineering: data lakes, EDW, Spark, Flink, Kafka, data governance, data mesh, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Transactional databases: Redis, Ignite, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• ML & MLOps: Vertex AI, Sagemaker, Dataiku, Databricks.
• LLMOps: LLMs (open/closed source), caching, fine‑tuning, Ray.

Responsibilities

• Execute corporate data strategies and deploy advanced data platforms.
• Set technical direction and mentor engineering teams.
• Bridge between business/product stakeholders and engineering; explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Stay up‑to‑date with data/AI trends and integrate emerging tech balanced with pragmatism.
• Lead technical discovery workshops and architecture assessments for seamless kick‑offs.

Grid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) is looking for a Delivery Data Architect to drive the technical execution of major engagements with Fortune 1000 clients and strengthen the Data Engineering practice across our global business units in the USA, Europe, and Asia.

We are seeking a result-oriented leader to oversee the implementation of disruptive innovations in data platforms. As a key technical driver, you will serve as a trusted partner to our customers, ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of enterprise Data solutions.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience developing production-grade systems, particularly in Data Engineering, data governance, and cloud data platforms.
• Proven experience as Software Architect or Staff / Principal Engineer.
• Strong understanding of cloud architectures for data collection, aggregation, reporting, and BI.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering sophisticated analytical programs at an enterprise scale.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead discussions with clients and other teams.
• Deep domain knowledge in at least one industry: Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Energy, or Travel. Experience with IoT and/or Customer 360 solutions.
• Hands‑on experience in AI/ML platforms, MLOps, and LLMOps using open‑source, cloud‑native, and proprietary tooling will be a plus.
• Cloud Platforms: Strong expertise with at least one (and familiarity with two) of the following: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Data Engineering: Data lakes, EDW, Spark, Flink, Kafka, data governance, data mesh, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Transactional Databases: Redis, Ignite, Cassandra, and Mongo DB.
• ML & MLOps: Vertex AI, Sagemaker, Dataiku, and Databricks.
• LLMOps: Closed‑source and open‑source LLMs, caching, fine‑tuning, and Ray. io.

Responsibilities:

• Execute corporate data strategies and deploy advanced data platforms using methodologies that accelerate Data programs.
• Set technical direction, establish best practices for engineering teams, and mentor other engineers.
• Acts as the bridge between business/product stakeholders and the engineering team, communicate complex technical concepts to to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with latest Data (and AI) industry trends and integrate emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve system performance, but at the same time balance innovation with operational pragmatism.
• Lead technical discovery workshops and architecture assessments to ensure seamless project kick-offs.
