Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Data Architect. Full remote work option will be considered for well-qualified candidates currently residing anywhere in the USA. Preferred locations: Beachwood, Ohio; Southfield, MI; or Menomonee Falls, WI.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750 - $181,500. Please note that this salary is a general guideline; actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Job Description

As a Data Architect, you will design and implement data pipelines, ontology objects, and system integrations. You will develop robust data workflows, ensure high performance and scalability, and mentor others. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement architectural solutions aligned with Eaton's standards is essential. You will uphold data governance, security practices, and continuously improve data architecture relevance and effectiveness. Additionally, you will contribute to setting best practices for data management, security, and governance within Palantir environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Create blueprints for data management systems to ensure data is organized, integrated, and accessible.
• Develop data models illustrating relationships between data elements to guide database design.
• Design and build databases optimized for storage, retrieval, and performance.
• Establish data policies and standards aligned with business goals and technological capabilities.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance.
• Set standards for data quality and integrity.
• Design data integration approaches, including APIs, to derive insights from comprehensive data views.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT, and data analysts on data infrastructure design.
• Stay updated on latest trends in data management and technology.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• At least five (5) years of experience in Information Technology
• Minimum three (3) years in enterprise solution/data architecture, data modeling, and data management
• Minimum three (3) years in cloud database technologies
• Familiarity with data architecture frameworks and best practices
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palantir Platform
• Knowledge of Generative AI models
• Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
• Understanding of Data Integration technologies and API-First architecture
• Experience with enterprise data projects and data analysis
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Ability to adapt to changing needs, work independently, and manage the full SDLC
