Job summary

Vytwo Technologies Inc. is seeking a data architecture leader to define and build a comprehensive data strategy and architecture with a focus on AI. You will articulate a clear, forward‑looking vision and guide data models, governance, and platform choices.

You will collaborate with application and cloud architects to ensure scalable, high‑performance data solutions across data warehouses and data lakes on AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing data models (Star Schema, Snowflake) and scalable architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and Big Data technologies.
• Ability to architect data warehouses/data lakes on major clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong ETL/ELT, data integration, and governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Design: design, maintain, evolve data models for core services.
• Data Flow: create data flow diagrams and orchestration strategies.
• System Alignment: collaborate with Application/Cloud Architects to support standards.
• Technology Selection: develop criteria for data components (warehousing, Big Data).
• Data Governance & Quality: define policies, metadata, data dictionaries, RM.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: provide oversight and mentor engineers.

Role Summary

A thought leader who can define and build out the components of a comprehensive data strategy and architecture with a strong focus on AI. This person should have deep expertise in modern data architecture patterns and the ability to articulate a clear, forward‑looking vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Design: Design, maintain, and evolve comprehensive data models (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical) for core business services and platforms.
• Data Flow: Define and create data flow diagrams and orchestration strategies, ensuring efficient and governed data movement.
• System Alignment: Collaborate closely with Application and Cloud Architects to ensure technical systems support the established data architecture standards.
• Technology Selection: Develop product short‑lists and evaluation criteria for selecting data architecture components, such as data warehousing solutions, Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka), SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Data Governance & Quality: Evolve and define data governance policies, standards, and best practices; design metadata management, data dictionaries, and RM; uphold data quality and compliance.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical oversight, guidance to Data Architects/Engineers, enforce corporate data standards, and mentor colleagues.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical

• Advanced experience in designing and implementing data models (Star Schema, Snowflake, etc.).
• Expertise in a wide variety of database technologies – relational (SQL) and NoSQL platforms, and Big Data technologies.
• Ability to architect scalable, high‑performance data warehousing and data lake solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT tools, data integration strategies, and advanced data processing techniques.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into simple, accessible terms for non‑technical stakeholders.
