Job summary

Capital One in McLean, Virginia is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Analysis to lead our Card Data AI Automation program. You will guide a analytics team, champion LLMs such as Gemini and Claude, and design scalable, well-governed AI solutions while fostering a high-performing team culture.

On a daily basis, you will refine validation frameworks, plan projects, assess tool methodologies, and communicate complex results through reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field with 7+ years analytics experience, or Master’s with 5+ years.
• At least 5 years leading teams and developing with open source data technologies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Refine a new Enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
• Plan and execute validation projects for Card Data analytics.
• Assess the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies used at Capital One.
• Understand technical issues in analytical tools and identify risks/opportunities.
• Research and prototype industry best practices for emerging tools.
• Communicate results clearly through validation reports and presentations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, leveraging training opportunities.
