You will transform Army logistics data into advanced descriptive and prescriptive models to optimize supply availability and reduce pipeline cycle times. You will mentor junior analysts, ensure DoD security compliance, and collaborate with software teams to integrate algorithms into web applications and decision-support tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years in data analytics, data science, or statistical modeling.
• 3+ years applying analytics in supply chain, logistics, or defense operations.
• Expertise in data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and ML.
• Proficiency with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and programming (Python, R, SQL).
• Ability to communicate complex findings to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced data analytics, modeling, data mining, and predictive decision-support for AMCOM SCMD.
• Design and deploy models to forecast demand, asset failures, repair times, and inventory needs.
• Develop interactive BI dashboards and executive visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and custom analytics tools.
• Perform data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and validation across large Army datasets.
• Apply statistics, ML, and OR methods to solve supply chain challenges.
• Analyze cycle times, data bottlenecks, and system compliance per standards.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate queries into data science solutions.
• Evaluate risk factors and mitigation using predictive simulations.
• Automate data extraction, reporting, and metric tracking.
• Create technical docs, reports, trend analyses, and briefing decks for executives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
• Ensure DoD cybersecurity compliance and AR 25-2 standards.
