Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer in Atlanta. You will partner with business and tech teams to deliver reporting, analytics, and decision-support solutions, defining metrics, data models, and datasets.

You will mentor analytics professionals and drive scalable self-service analytics adoption. You will lead complex analytics initiatives, ensure timely delivery, and align with governance policies while leveraging Power BI, SQL, and cloud data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for analytics solutions.
• 5+ years writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data analysis.
• 3+ years designing analytical data models, semantic models, and reusable analytics assets.
• 3+ years with Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms; experience with Fabric and Azure analytics preferred.
• 2+ years using Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis and automation.
• 3+ years presenting analytical findings to stakeholders and coordinating analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Senior Data Analytics Engineer partners with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver reporting, analytics, and decision-support solutions that enable informed business decisions. Acting as the data and analytics domain lead, the role is responsible for defining requirements, establishing business metrics and reporting standards, designing analytical data models and reporting datasets, and ensuring successful delivery of analytics capabilities.
The position provides leadership on complex analytics initiatives, mentors other analytics professionals, and helps drive the adoption of scalable reporting and self-service analytics solutions. Through a combination of business knowledge, analytical expertise, and technical leadership, the Senior Data Analytics Engineer helps strengthen the organization's analytics capabilities and effective use of data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of reporting, analytics, and data visualization solutions by partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define business metrics, analyze data, and enable effective use of analytics for decision-making. (25%)
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical data models, reporting datasets, semantic structures, and reusable analytics assets that support consistent, accurate, and scalable reporting and self-service analytics capabilities across the organization. (25%)
• Act as the data and analytics domain lead across business and technology initiatives by assessing impacts, defining requirements, guiding solution design, and ensuring successful delivery of reporting, analytics, and data-related outcomes. (25%)
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day work coordination for team members and contractors, including prioritization of business demand, resource allocation, solution reviews, and establishment of development standards and best practices. (20%)
• Support compliance activities by promoting adherence to A22 - Global Data & Information Policy, maintaining required documentation, and providing complete, accurate, and timely information for audits, risk reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements. (5%)

Qualifikationen

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

• Business-General: 5 years
• Finance: 2 years
• Information Technology: 1 year

Education

Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's Degree is preferred. Recommended majors include:
