The Senior Data Analyst Product Trials Experience Role

We’re looking for a highly analytical and strategic Senior Data Analyst to join our team and lead insights generation around product trials. You’ll play a critical role in helping us understand how users interact with the platform during their trial period, identify patterns in behavior that lead to conversion (or churn), and work cross-functionally to test and implement improvements. Your insights will directly shape how we turn trial users into long-term customers.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, IT, marketing, and GTM functions to help shape our trial experience with data at the core. This is a high-impact, strategic role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product, data, and growth.

What makes this role interesting?
  • Analyze user behavior throughout the product trial lifecycle to uncover insights and identify opportunities for improving conversion and engagement.
  • Define and monitor KPIs that measure the success of the trial experience (e.g., onboarding and activation workflows).
  • Design and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments to test improvements.
  • Forecast trial conversion and model downstream impact on MRR/ARR.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs focused on product trials and early user behavior.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Lifecycle teams to identify friction points and opportunities within the trial experience.
  • Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to enhance onboarding, activation, and conversion from trial to paid.
  • Segment trial users by behavior, persona, and usage patterns to drive personalization and targeted lifecycle strategies.
  • Build predictive models to forecast trial outcomes and long-term customer value.
  • Help establish scalable data infrastructure and tracking requirements for trial-related features.
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling and visualizations.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
  • 4-6+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a SaaS or product-led environment.
  • Deep experience analyzing user behavior, funnels, and retention in a SaaS context.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and at least one scripting language like Python or R.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
  • Experience with experimentation and A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Google Optimize).
  • Excellent communication skills – able to synthesize complex data into insights for diverse audiences.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of SaaS metrics (CAC, LTV, churn).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, experiment-driven, and highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience with customer segmentation, retention analysis, cohort modeling, and predictive modeling for conversion or churn.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, or Heap.
  • Exposure to marketing analytics, especially related to acquisition and attribution.
