Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a data-focused professional to ensure operational data is fit for purpose, define controls, and monitor adherence to enterprise data standards. The role supports Enterprise Customer Profitability and the ABC application, underpinning profitability data for hundreds of millions of accounts monthly.

You will triage data incidents, perform impact analysis, coordinate with business and technology teams, and develop test plans and scripts to support modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supporting banking/financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and profitability metrics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently.
• Prior experience as a contributing member on a project team, including writing requirements, test plans, test scripts and executing test scripts.
• SQL proficient.

Responsibilities

• Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through testing procedures and data controls.
• Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards; coordinates across teams on data compliance.
• Manages data incidents and communicates, resolves or escalates issues as needed.
• Develops, manages, and executes data controls with tracking, monitoring and breach resolution.
• Partners with Business and Technology to drive requirements and ensure upstream resolution for data incidents.
• Support change from requirements through testing and post-production validation.
• Ingests detailed requirements, attends design sessions and builds test plans and scripts.
• Identifies and logs defects during testing and retests after remediation.
• Responds to tech partner inquiries and provides data insights via ad-hoc queries.
• Educates partners on data flows, logic and relationships within Enterprise Customer Profitability.
• Maintains reference data and documentation for modernization initiatives for downstream readiness.
