Position Purpose:

The Senior Data Analyst will work with a team of talented analysts and software developers to create cutting-edge web applications that are revolutionizing Home Depot's special order business. This individual will actively engage end-users and stakeholders to determine requirements and work quickly to turn specifications into quality deliverables. The Sr. Data Analyst will work with the team to incorporate the latest technologies and tools to keep our skills current and our deliverables cutting-edge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish reporting standards and best practices.
  • Architect and implement a reporting framework.
  • Oversee data mining efforts.
  • Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, UX designers, and end-users to determine requirements.
  • Perform data analysis, develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and generate reports.
  • Data cleansing and validation.
  • Prepare data load scripts for mass data import from various sources.
  • Utilize various database applications and analytical tools.
  • Implement system and procedure enhancements/modifications.
Reporting Lines:
  • Position reports to Sr. Engineer or Sr. Manager.
Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
  • Primarily sitting with frequent movement opportunities. Rarely may need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor environment. Any unpleasant conditions are infrequent and manageable.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in technical project leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft development technologies such as .NET, ASP.NET, C#.
  • Experience with reporting tools like SSRS.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.
