Job summary

EXL in New Jersey seeks a Business Data Analyst with strong expertise in large-scale data applications, data analysis, and transformation to support enterprise initiatives in the Property & Casualty insurance domain. You will apply SQL, data mapping, and business analysis skills, partnering with SMEs and engineers to drive data accuracy and alignment with business processes.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on data analysis, mapping and transformation in enterprise environments.
Strong SQL skills with analytical functions and performance tuning.
Experience developing source-to-target mapping (STTM) documents and ETL/data flow knowledge.
Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance data is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end data analysis, including profiling, validation and transformation for large-scale data projects.
Develop source-to-target data mappings (STTM) and document based on requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
Work with data engineers to implement data consolidation and transformation logic.
Optimize SQL queries for performance on large datasets.
Participate in data quality assessments and enrichment strategies.
Leverage P&C domain knowledge to align data with business processes.
Facilitate communication among SMEs, data modelers and technical teams.
