Senior Data Analyst, Marketing Analytics
Fully Remote / within USA

Archer Education is a pioneer in higher education transformation. Founded in 2006 by innovators who brought their dot-com startup expertise to modernize the academic landscape, what began as a proprietary search engine that matched students with educational opportunities evolved into a comprehensive strategic partner for universities navigating the complexities of online learning.

We're driven by a fundamental belief that online higher education needs a more effective and sustainable approach - one that empowers institutions rather than replaces their expertise. At the heart of our work is the Online Growth Enablement (OGE) model, a flexible, scalable partnership framework that helps institutions boost enrollments, expand their team's capabilities, maintain control over their unique mission, and build sustainable growth for the long term.

THE ROLE

The Senior Data Analyst is a proactive and take-charge professional responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives and managing projects with minimal supervision. In this role, they partner with data engineering to design and maintain BigQuery data models for our Performance Marketing (lead and click generation) business, a lead generation and click marketplace that connects prospective students with online higher education programs. This person will be responsible for laying the foundation for both automated reporting and future AI-agent-driven, self-service data exploration for the Performance Marketing team. This requires strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to identify gaps and opportunities and drive continuous improvement, while owning specific workflows and reporting practices. The Senior Data Analyst will support strategic business initiatives through detailed data analysis and report development while taking ownership of specific workflows and fostering robust data and reporting practices.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Data Model Strategy & Design: Partner with a data engineering to architect and maintain BigQuery data frameworks and models that support performance marketing lead/click reporting, structured to serve both immediate reporting needs and future AI-agent consumption
  • Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Collaborate directly with the internal Performance Marketing team to identify and document data needs, translate business questions into technical requirements, and prioritize what gets built first based on business impact
  • Sprint Delivery Management: Manage prioritized data model requirements through engineering sprint cycles, serving as the primary liaison between Performance Marketing's analytics and reporting needs and data engineering build capacity
  • Reporting Development: Develop and deliver functional reporting solutions that analyze business functions, key operations, and performance metrics using underlying, production-ready data models
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests from Performance Marketing and Managed Services leadership as they arise
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and relevance
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Train and mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth
  • Provide work guidance and support, including but not limited to troubleshooting errors and collaborating on solutions within and beyond the analyst team
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Working knowledge of performance marketing performance metrics (leads, clicks, conversion/click-through rate, cost-per-lead, attribution) and how they translate into data model design
  • Ability to design reusable, scalable data structures rather than one-off reports
  • Familiarity with sprint-based delivery (Agile/Scrum) and the ability to write clear technical requirements a data engineer can build against
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a varied audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Robust quality control skills to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and reliability
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and SQL
  • Adaptive to a complex and changing environment
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 4+ years in an analytical role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in performance marketing analytics (junior or senior level) — lead/click generation environments strongly preferred
  • Experience partnering with data engineers or technical teams on data pipeline/model requirements
  • Exposure to AI-assisted analytics tools, or interest in how AI agents can be trained against structured data models
  • Prior experience acting as a business/technical translator between a marketing function and an engineering resource
  • Hands-on BigQuery development experience, beyond reporting/dashboard consumption
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • No travel is required, but optional travel is encouraged from time to time for team building and in person strategy/planning sessions
