Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Data Analyst 3 in Seattle to translate unstructured customer feedback into actionable insights. You will own text analytics methods, use LLMs, and deliver end-to-end analyses connecting feedback with engagement and spend.

You will collaborate across Business, Technology, Product, and Analytics teams, mentor junior analysts, and shape measurement strategies to influence leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in analytics/CS/related field.
• 5+ years in data analytics, customer analytics, or related field.
• Strong SQL and BigQuery experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and automation.
• Experience with unstructured text analytics, NLP, or LLMs.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve methods for classifying customer comments and measuring sentiment using text analytics and LLMs.
• Own and evolve models, workflows, and data sources; evaluate new methods and tools.
• Build repeatable datasets and tools with SQL, Python/R, and BigQuery for self‑service exploration.
• Manage customer‑feedback taxonomy, Medallia text analytics, and related documentation.
• Deliver end‑to‑end analysis with actionable recommendations and storytelling to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define needs, data access, and measurement approaches.
• Create business cases for analytics priorities and roadmaps; influence cross‑functional partners.
