Job summary

Tufts Institute for AI is seeking a data management and analysis specialist to support researchers across AI-driven health projects. You will develop data collection and analysis plans, train teams, and help implement secure, scalable pipelines.

The role requires MS in a relevant field, 2+ years in data science and expertise in Python/R, ML methods, and bioinformatics data such as NGS. This is a full-time on-site position with Tufts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in data science, bioinformatics, computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of life science data analysis or related experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and preparing large/complex datasets for analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Experience with statistical inference and ML on biological data.
• Experience with bioinformatics analysis of NGS data including single-cell and transcriptomics.

Responsibilities

• Provide data management services to researchers, staff and trainees.
• Develop and support data collection, quality control, and data cleaning processes.
• Set up analysis pipelines with data protection rules and reproducible workflows.
• Train labs and cores on data management best practices and data sharing policies.
• Collaborate on grants, submissions, publications and presentations.
