What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development and enhancement of models and scripts supporting critical risk functions, including price and volumetric exposure analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to identify and resolve process inefficiencies
- Interpret complex datasets, create advanced visualizations, and deliver actionable insights for risk management
- Synthesize natural gas market intelligence for contract rate design, asset evaluation, and load forecasting
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the evolution of the organization's data strategy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and programming languages including SQL, Python, DAX, and PowerQuery
- Strong experience with ETL processes, database administration, and designing scalable data pipelines
- Expertise in building forecasting models and machine learning algorithms
- Deep understanding of the wholesale gas market and regulatory landscape in the energy sector
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as CAP, SDS, MCSE in Data Management and Analytics, or AI-related credentials
- Experience with CRM systems and business intelligence tools
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques to inform business decisions
