Job summary

Chervon North America Inc. seeks a Senior Data Analysis to design and implement DataOps practices, focusing on data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing within an AWS-driven ecosystem. You will lead data integration, automation, and monitoring to improve reliability and availability of data across domains.

You will collaborate with IT teams in China on escalations, conduct system checks, and develop comprehensive documentation and best practices. Travel to U.S.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data management and database administration, especially Oracle ERP and MySQL.
• Strong troubleshooting, configuration, and management of data infrastructure with ETL, modeling, and warehousing.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, AWS Step Functions) and version control (Git).
• Designing and building DataOps capabilities to automate data processing and operations.
• Experience with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Redshift, S3) and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex data infra issues and optimize data pipelines and processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams (including teams in China) to address escalations and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine system checks and optimize data infrastructure performance.
• Develop documentation, knowledge base articles, and best practices for data ops.

You will serve as a key resource for resolving complex technical issues related to data infrastructure and processes. Leveraging your expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing solutions, and AWS cloud services, you will lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and ensure data reliability and availability through the implementation of DataOps methodologies.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a primary resource for resolving complex technical issues related to data infrastructure and processes.Collaborate closely with the IT team in China to address escalated technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.Conduct routine system checks and maintenance to optimize data infrastructure performance and proactively identify potential issues.Utilize your deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to enhance data analysis capabilities and drive informed decision-making.Facilitate training sessions for team members, equipping them with knowledge of DataOps principles and best practices.Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides, Knowledge Base articles, and best practices for data infrastructure and processes.Lead the design and implementation of DataOps practices, overseeing data integration, automation, and monitoring processes to streamline operations and enhance data reliability and availability.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in data management, database administration, IT support, specifically with Oracle ERP and MySQL databases.Strong proficiency in troubleshooting, configuring, and managing data infrastructure, with experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques, including experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).Expertise in designing and building DataOps capabilities to automate data processing tasks and streamline data operations.Experience with AWS cloud services, including but not limited to AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon S3.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.The salary range for this position is $65k to $85k. Offers are generally made between this range depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. In some cases, highly qualified candidates may receive an offer outside of the posted range.Preferred Skills:Expertise in Power BI, Java, and SQL.Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash).Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA).Travel:Travel to warehouses in the U.S. may be required. 10% or less.Work Environment:This role may entail shift work, including evenings, weekends, and on-call support, to ensure continuous system availability and support coverage.Chervon North America operates in a casual and fun environment.
