The Role

Veeva Link’s vision is to become the global leader for deep data in life sciences. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Data Analyst to join our product team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and implementing a data governance framework, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity. Your main responsibilities include establishing data quality monitoring processes, identifying root causes of inconsistencies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve data gaps.

What You’ll Do

• Implement a data governance framework
• Establish and maintain robust processes for tracking and assessing data quality
• Develop automated checks to proactively detect data inconsistencies
• Apply statistical techniques to enhance data quality
• Create customized reports and dashboards
• Extract data from databases (e.g., Redshift, MongoDB)
• Identify and resolve root causes of quality issues
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams of product managers, engineering, and operations
• Create and maintain documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in data analysis or data quality role
• Strong technical skills in data analysis, with proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience in data storage and processing on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
• Experience writing process documentation and data collection guidelines

Nice to Have

• University degree in medicine or life sciences
• Understanding of healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry data
• Experience with data visualization tools to create dashboards and reports
• Understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL, data pipelines)
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Apache Airflow
• Experience working in an Agile or product-driven environment
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)
