Job summary

Harbor is seeking a Senior Manager, Data & AI Strategy to lead strategic client engagements focused on data architecture, governance, and AI readiness for legal and professional services clients.

You will mentor teams, communicate complex data strategies to diverse audiences, and collaborate across Harbor to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions. This role is remote in the United States or Canada with strong leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in business, data, or tech fields preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in legal or professional services with client-facing responsibility.
• Practical knowledge of executing strategies, managing teams, and overseeing data-focused projects.
• Strong understanding of how legal organizations use data to support operations and decisions.
• Experience with enterprise data strategies including people, client, and matter data domains.
• Familiarity with legal business services and law firm operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to improve processes, systems, or products to boost function performance.
• Experience leading small to mid-sized teams and hiring and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements focused on data and AI strategy, modernization, and governance for legal/professional services clients.
• Communicate complex strategies and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Design solutions that centralize enterprise data for people, organizations, and matters.
• Define and lead initiatives to structure and analyze practice-level data with attorneys and business teams.
• Provide hands-on support and strategic guidance on data catalogs, MDM, data lakes/warehouses, BI, and AI.
• Support legal AI enablement through curated data initiatives and analytics project design.
• Present Harbor’s vision at executive meetings and industry events.
• Collaborate across Harbor teams to deliver integrated solutions; mentor junior staff.
• Guide teams through process improvements and standard adaptations; manage delivery.
