Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Data, AI & Reliability Engineer to strengthen data pipelines, AI-enabled knowledge tooling, and backend services with an observability-first approach.

The role involves improving data integrity, building self-service tooling, coordinating across APIs, content platforms, and cloud deployments, and performing incident RCA to prevent future issues.

Qualifications

• Senior backend engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong data pipeline and data integrity experience.
• Experience moving, transforming, and synchronizing content, articles, and structured/unstructured data between systems.
• AI/LLM integration experience, including RAG, MCP, agents, and/or AI-enabled knowledge tools.
• Strong API, integration, and automation experience.
• Observability-first engineering mindset with logging, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and health checks.
• Experience with Splunk and Datadog.
• Strong SQL skills and data troubleshooting experience.
• Development experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar.
• Cloud engineering experience, particularly AWS.
• CI/CD pipelines and production deployment experience.
• Incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to build self-service tooling and automation to reduce manual support.
• Strong documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Senior engineer responsible for improving the reliability, integrity, and observability of data and content across the Knowledge Management ecosystem.
• Work across backend services, data pipelines, APIs, and AI-enabled knowledge capabilities.
• Identify failures and data-quality issues proactively.
• Implement production-readiness practices including automated testing, CI/CD, and containerization.
• Engage in troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across multi-vendor teams.
