Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. is seeking a seasoned data/ ML engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and AI-enabled data services. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, production-ready solutions.

Hybrid role with opportunities to impact manufacturing data ecosystems across multiple facilities. A strong background in Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, software analytics engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python development experience and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating multiple data sources.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and REST API development.
• Ability to produce scalable data and AI-enabled solutions with CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical data products.
• Develop data transformations and models using SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Integrate data from ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, finance, and other systems.
• Build Python applications, APIs, and data services with FastAPI.
• Productionize ML, forecasting, optimization, and AI solutions.
• Develop batch and real-time data integration patterns for downstream applications.
• Maintain automated testing, monitoring, and data-quality controls.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automation for repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Support ML lifecycle management including deployment, monitoring, versioning, retraining.
