Job summary

MojoTech is seeking a Senior Data & AI Architect to lead client engagements across data architecture, AI delivery, and growth. You will design scalable data pipelines on AWS, implement large-scale processing on Databricks/Spark, and deliver end-to-end AI models from data prep to deployment.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and partner with sales on proposals. Remote-friendly with optional office presence in Boulder/Providence or hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering in cloud-native environments.
• Expert-level AWS data services proficiency; Databricks certification is a plus.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark and at least one major cloud ML platform (e.g., SageMaker).
• Familiarity with Airflow and AWS Step Functions; solid data modeling and pipeline design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements across data architecture, AI delivery, and growth.
• Design, build, and mentor data platforms and AI solutions for enterprise clients.
• Translate business needs into executable data and AI roadmaps; manage scope and budgets.
• Partner with account teams on proposals, estimates, and delivery approaches.
• Ensure data quality, security, and CI/CD/DevOps practices across projects.
